According to our sources, the highly anticipated BGMI Showdown 2025 is set to take place from September to October. Krafton India Esports also hinted at the tournament on Thursday through a teaser. Notably, the winner of the BGMI Showdown 2025 will represent India in the upcoming PMGC 2025 in Thailand.
BGMI Showdown 2025 Dates, Venue, and More
As reported earlier by Sports Tiger, BGMI Showdown is set to return and will award a PMGC 2025 slot to the winner. We had already revealed that Krafton India will host two major tournaments in the second half of 2025, with BGMI Showdown being the first. On Thursday, Krafton officially hinted at the same. They hosted a teaser hinting at the tournament.
According to the reports, the BGMI Showdown (BMSD) is set to kick off on September 18, and it will run till October 12. A total of 48 teams will compete in the tournament for the massive INR 1 crore prize pool and a golden opportunity to represent India in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025. The tournament will be a LAN event played in Hyderabad, India. The team has not been revealed yet, but most of the popular names like Team Soul, Godlike Esports, Orangutan, and 8Bit will be there, along with the best-performing teams from this year's BGIS and BMPS tournaments.
The tournament will be big, as it will serve as a slot for India in PMGC 2025. The Indian BGMI team, AxTMG, the champions of the BMPS 2025, recently participated in the Esports World Cup 2025. Now, India is set to compete on the international stage one more time in PMGC 2025.
The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2025 will take place from November to December in Thailand, featuring 39 teams. There are three invited slots, in which 1 goes to the host nation team in the Grand Finals, while now one is set for India.
However, Krafton India Esports is yet to announce it officially. They posted a teaser on Thursday, and fans can expect the full details soon.
