India's Orangutan have officially qualified for the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2026 Grand Finals after finishing second in the Group A standings. The team scored 91 points across 12 matches to secure a direct place in the Finals, which will be held from August 14 to 16 in Paris, France.

Orangutan had a slow start on Day 1 but made a strong comeback on Day 2. The team played consistently throughout the tournament and collected important placement and finish points to climb the leaderboard. They also won a Chicken Dinner on Day 2, which played a big role in helping them finish inside the top five.

Pakistan's 4Thrives Esports topped Group A with 107 points, while Orangutan finished second. Aurora Gaming, Team Flash, and Nigma Galaxy also secured direct qualification for the Grand Finals.

Teams that finished between sixth and thirteenth have advanced to the Survival Stage, where they will compete for the remaining Grand Finals spots. The bottom three teams from Group A were eliminated from the tournament.

For Indian fans, Orangutan's qualification is a big achievement as the team will now compete against the world's best PUBG Mobile teams for the championship title.

Meanwhile, another Indian team, GodLike Esports, will begin their Group B matches on August 8. They will also be aiming to finish in the top five and qualify directly for the Grand Finals.

The PMWC 2026 Grand Finals will feature the best 16 teams from around the world competing for the championship and a share of the tournament's $3.025 million prize pool. Indian fans will now hope Orangutan can continue their impressive form and fight for the world title in Paris.
