Revenant XSpark has bid farewell to tier IGL Punk and JD Gaming after finishing 7th in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 in Chennai. RNTX has retained three assaulters, including Pain, NinjaJOD, and Tracegod, for the upcoming BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2026. The team will now look for a new captain for the new season.

Revenant XSparks Parts Ways with Punk and JD Gaming

On Thursday, 2 April 2026, Revenant XSpark announces the departure of their captain, Ashutosh Singh, aka Punk, and the 5th player, Jay Deshmukh, aka JDGamingYT.

Punk joined the Revenant XSpark as an IGL on 2 November 2025 and led the team in many unofficial events and one major official tournament, BGIS 2026. During his tenure, the team has won the Skyesports Skirmish Series 2025, secured 2nd place in Blizzard Battlegrounds, and 7th place in the BGIS 2026 in Chennai, respectively.

This is a very surprising move by the Revenant XSpark, as Punk is a very experienced and skillful captain who did well for the team, but it looks like the organization has different plans.

Currently, the Revenant XSpark has three assaulters in the lineup, including Pain, NinjaJOD, and TraceGod. All three are exceptional players, but no one has captaincy experience, so RNTX will have to get an IGL.

The BGMI official player transfer window has just opened on 1st April, and the massive movements have already started happening in the scene. Big Face is now available to sign in the market, and many teams are looking for a captain. However, time will tell which team Punk will lead in the upcoming BMPS 2026.

Additionally, fans can expect many more changes. The big one is Jonathan, all set to leave Godlike Esports, Jelly, and the whole lineup might leave True Rippers, and more. So be ready for massive movements in the IGL.
