Loic Bade, a 25-year-old centre-back has been a part of the Spanish club Sevilla since the previous two seasons. The French international is under contract at Sevilla until the year 2029. However, recent speculations suggest that his time in the La Liga will be over soon as he is ready to start a fresh chapter in Germany.

Recent reports suggest that Erik ten Hag’s Bayer Leverkusen have reached an agreement with the player and the Spanish club, and with that, the centre-back is now all set to join the German club with immediate effect. Bayer Leverkusen have agreed on a transfer fee of €29m plus additional add-ons to sign the 25-year old to bolster their defensive line. Bade will be undergoing medical tests at Leverkusen alongside their latest attacking signing, Claudio Echeverri who will be joining the club from Manchester City, as per Fabrizio Romano. Erik ten Hag is looking to make fresh reinforcements ahead of Leverkusen’s Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim.

Ten Hag looking to make fresh reinforcements following the departures of star players from Leverkusen: Reports

The French centre-back has made over 60 appearances for Sevilla and played a vital role for the club in winning the Europa League in 2023. Due to his magnificent performances for Sevilla, the Italian club Inter Milan and the Premier League club Bournemouth were interested in signing Bade this season. Bournemouth reportedly made an offer for him as well. However, the 25-year-old reportedly rejected the offer to play in the Premier League as he was intrigued by the project of Bayer Leverkusen and made it his priority to join the Bundesliga winners of 2023-24.

Bayer Leverkusen are looking to start the campaign with a bang under their new manager Erik ten Hag. Following the departures of some of their stars like Florian Wirtz, Jonathan Tah, Jeremie Frimpong, and Granit Xhaka ahead of the season, ten Hag will be looking forward to creating new stars for the present and future of Bayer Leverkusen, and Loic Bade will certainly be a huge part of this mission.
