On Thursday, August 21, Bournemouth confirmed the signing of Moroccan winger Amine Adli from Bayer Leverkusen on a five-year contract for the reported transfer fee of £25.1 million. The 25-year-old is the seventh signing of the ongoing summer transfer window for Bournemouth in their bid to bolster the squad after a lot of outgoings at the club ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Notably, during his stay at Bayer Leverkusen, Amine Adli earned 143 caps for the club, playing a key role in the Bundesliga and German Cup victory in the 2023-24 season under manager Xabi Alonso at the time. After a relatively tough 2024-25 season, wherein he scored just two goals and provided two assists in 28 matches, the Moroccan is now set to play in the English top flight.

Amine Adli is known to be quite a versatile player in attack

As per the report from BBC Sport, Bournemouth have spent a lot of money on signings since the arrival of American billionaire Bill Foley in January 2023 as the owner, £350 million in total with Amine Adli being the latest player. At the same time, the club have sold a lot of players at higher deals, including defenders Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, and Illia Zabarnyi just in the ongoing summer transfer window for a combined £150 million.

Amine Adli is known to be quite a versatile player, not only playing at wing, but also taking up the role of attacking midfielder centrally as well. Apart from the arrival of the Moroccan international, Bournemouth are also planning a loan move for Axel Disasi, the Chelsea defender, although the Blues are looking to sell him on a permanent deal this summer.
