It is understood that AC Milan have reached an agreement with their next head coach which is set to be Ruben Amorim. As per reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport and several other Italian media outlets, Ruben Amorim is expected to arrive in Milan on Monday or Tuesday after finalizing terms with the Rossoneria.
Ruben Amorim will be replacing Massimiliano Allegri who was sacked after failing to secure a Champions League spot for Milan. Along with this, Milan’s ownership also dismissed CEO Giorgio Furlani, sporting director Igli Tare, and technical director Geoffrey Moncada. There are only a few formalities left but it is confirmed that Ruben is set to take charge of the team as a head coach.

Amorim took charge of Sporting in 2021 and guided the Lisbon club to their first Portuguese league title in 19 years. He successfully defended the championship the following season before departing in November 2024 to join Manchester United. His biggest assignment was with Manchester United, however his results with Manchester United proved unsuccessful and he was dismissed just a few months later in January. AC Milan will be hoping to achieve good success as they look to turn things around with the change in leadership group.
