The FIFA 2026 World Cup is all set to commence on June 12 and the fans simply can’t hold their excitement back. Most of the teams have announced their final squads for the biggest event in international football and there are some young talents to look out for in the tournament. The most interesting aspect about some of the selections is that these youngsters haven’t played a single international game for their nation. Lamine Yamal will be making his debut in the World Cup and he is one of the stars that could steal the spotlight in the tournament.
Other than Lamine Yamal, there have been some other dynamic young talents such as Endrick, who has also been included in Brazil’s final 26-man World Cup Squad. Over the years, we have witnessed some exceptional talents make their mark in football through the World Cup like Kylian Mbappe. This time out as well, we have some talented youngsters who could make an impact in the World Cup as well. Here are some of the young players who have earned the call-up to feature for their national side in the 2026 FIFA World Cup:
5) Nico O’Reilly - England
Thomas Tuchel has made some interesting changes in England’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and that has sparked some criticism among the experts. Nico O’Reilly has been one of the breakout talents for Manchester City in the 2025/26 season. He has been developing quite well under the guidance of Pep Guardiola and he could be a key player in their defensive set-up. With his towering height of 6'4", he could have a massive advantage in aerial duels and his technical passing could help England distribute the ball with ease from back to front.
4) Nico Paz - Argentina
Argentina have included Nico Paz in their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup squad and he is the first Argentine player to feature in the World Cup without having played for any club in Argentina. Nico Paz’s role in Como’s historical Champions League qualification cannot be undermined as he spearheaded their campaign under Cesc Fabregas. The attacking midfielder has 13 goals and 8 assists in his Serie A campaign this season. Nico Paz would play a major role in managing the workload for Lionel Messi in the FIFA World Cup.
3) Arda Güler - Türkiye
The Real Madrid midfielder has been an integral part of their midfield in the season and his performance in the UEFA Champions league was commendable. He had a fine campaign in the Euro 2024 season as he showed a glimpse of what he could do. The danger of Arda Guler in the midfield could be his incredible vision and long-range strikes. Arda Guler’s left foot has brought him a lot of success in club football and Turkiye will be keen on getting the ball to his foot as much as possible throughout the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
2)Endrick - Brazil
The Brazilian forward Endrick has been called up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and he could be used as a super sub to add some fuel to their attacking options. He wasn’t exactly at his best when he featured for Real Madrid but his decision to move to Lyon on loan was exceptionally good. His highly successful winter season for Lyon helped the side to have a clinical finisher up front and his physique would be a key aspect that they would be looking into. Endrick will be looking to make the most of his opportunity in the global football event.
1) Lamine Yamal - Spain
The Spanish forward was their talisman in their Euro 2024 campaign and the Spaniards evolved into a side that was feared by every team in the world. The kind of success they had in their combinations along with Ferran Torres and the other forwards in the side was outstanding. Yamal has undergone an injury and he is in doubt for the first couple of games but he could possibly play a huge role in their tournament. Lamine Yamal would be the man that Spain will have their hopes pinned on for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
