The 15th edition of Indian Premier League is set to be played from March 26 to May 29. BCCI have already confirmed that the league stages of the upcoming season will be played in Maharashtra across 4 venues: Wankhede Stadium, Brabourne Stadium, DY Patil Stadium and MCA Stadium.
The following 10 teams will participate this year: Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans.
With everything more or less sorted, the board is now working on the making of schedule which could be announced anytime this week. From the new format to venues to latest updates around the fixtures, all the information will be available here.

Lucknow Super Giants' player Manan Vohra completes his mandatory 3-day quarantine. As per the cricketer, he read a couple of books and watched Netflix. "I would like to thank our fans for praying for us and I am sure that Lucknow Super Giants will make a great impact in the IPL 2022."

Newly appointed RCB captain Faf Du Plessis has started his 3-day quarantine at Mumbai ahead of IPL 2022. Du Plessis was roped in by the Bangalore franchise following an intense bidding war at the two-day IPL 2022 mega auction. The former South African skipper was handed the captaincy reins as well at the RCB Unbox Event on March 12 (Saturday).
Newly appointed RCB skipper Faf du Plessis has reportedly started his 3-day quarantine at Mumbai ahead of IPL 2022. Du Plessis was roped in by the Bangalore franchise following an intense bidding war at the two-day IPL 2022 mega auction. The former Proteas star was handed the captaincy reins as well at the RCB Unbox Event on March 12 (Saturday).
Former RCB player AB de Villiers is all set to be appointed mentor of the Bangalore franchise. As per reports, de Villiers expressed his wish earlier to get associated with the franchise as he felt that he can still provide his services to RCB in different capacities.
Royal Challengers Bangalore are likely to name their new captain for IPL 2022 today (March 7). With Virat Kohli stepping down as captain after IPL 2021, the post has been left vacant. Reportedly, the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Dinesh Karthik and Faf Du Plessis are the frontrunners for the role.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will kick off their IPL 2022 journey under a new captain against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at DY Patil Stadium. RCB are placed in Group B along with Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans. Apart from these four teams, RCB will face Rajasthan Royals twice as the two teams are placed in the same row.

The IPL 2022 Schedule for league stages is finally out, which is set to be played from March 26 to May 22. The last week has been reserved for play-offs, details of which will be announced later.
