The six franchises will aim to spend a maximum of over INR 66 Cr (R131 million) on 84 available slots from a list of over 500 registered local and international players. Joburg Super Kings get spinner Imran Tahir for INR 30.19 lakh. Paarl Royals also showed interest in the former South Africa bowler but Joburg succeeded in reserving the Protea's services.
