Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan played IPL for nine years from 2008-17. During his career, he appeared in 103 games and took 80 wickets at an economy of 7.77. He also bowled 10 maidens during those nine years and with this number, he is in the fourth spot on the chart of bowlers with most maidens in the league.
Jacques Kallis notched up 10 half-centuries for KKR during his stint from 2011-14
Former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis donned KKR colours from 2011-14 and in the team’s 2012 title win, he played an instrumental role with his bat. During his four-year stint with Kolkata, he struck 10 fifties for the team and the notable one came against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 2012 IPL final, played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Riding on his 69 off 49, Kolkata bagged a five-wicket win against CSK and lifted their maiden trophy.
On May 10, 2018, Rishabh Pant produced his best IPL innings against SRH in Delhi
On May 10, 2018, India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant notched up his best IPL innings for Delhi Capitals (DC) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium (then Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium). Batting first after winning the toss, the home side posted 187/5 on the board and Pant played an exceptional knock of an unbeaten 128 off just 63. The southpaw’s innings broke into the record books as the best knock by any DC batter.
Quinton de Kock hit 10 sixes during his best IPL knock against KKR in 2022
South Africa wicket-keeper batter Quinton de Kock clobbered an unbeaten 140 off just 70 against KKR in 2022. Opening for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the left-handed player stitched an unbeaten stand with his captain KL Rahul for the first wicket. De Kock’s 140-run contribution included 10 maximums and 10 fours. Lucknow won the game by two runs and the Protea’s batting brilliance got him the player of the match (POTM) award.
On April 10, 2023, LSG registered their biggest chase successfully in Bengaluru
On April 10, 2023, cricket fans witnessed one of the most intriguing IPL games between LSG and RCB. Batting first after winning the toss, Lucknow elected to bowl first and the host side delivered a target of 213 to the visitors. Chasing the massive score, LSG lost three quick wickets but Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran showcased their mettle and scored 65 (30) and 62 (19) respectively.
Their innings helped LSG cross the line on the last delivery of the game as tailenders Avesh Khan and Ravi Bishnoi held their nerves and completed the last run on the final delivery to hand their side one-wicket win. Pooran, who entered the record books with his 15-ball fifty, became POTM for his stunning innings.
