On April 15, 2024, SRH posted the highest team total of the league with their score of 287/3 against RCB at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Batting first, the Orange Army reached the milestone with the assistance of their opener Travis Head, who produced a phenomenal knock of 102 runs off 41. The southpaw’s batting brilliance helped his side claim a 25-run win and he also got the player of the match (POTM) award.
2. Yusuf Pathan's 15-ball 50 helped KKR seal their playoffs berth in 2014
Yusuf Pathan displayed his formidable side against SRH at the iconic Eden Gardens in 2014. Chasing the score of 161, Kolkata saw Yusuf flexing muscles, playing an exceptional innings of 72 off 22. The right-handed batter’s knock helped KKR end the round-robin stage in the second position.
3. 15 captains appointed in a single IPL season in 2013
Back in 2013, when IPL’s sixth edition was played, 13 captains were seen leading the sides. One of the notable changes happened in MI when former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting failed to deliver desired results to the team and Rohit Sharma was handed the reins midway and India stalwart made his IPL team champions for the first time with his majestic leadership prowess.
4. 15 players to be named in every squad per game since 2023
Following the introduction of the impact player rule in 2023, every IPL side will have to declare 15 names for every game. According to the rule, teams are allowed to bring one of four impact players to replace a member of the playing XI at any moment of the match.
5. Brendon McCullum has 15 fifties in IPL
Former New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum, who served KKR, RCB, and CSK in the league, accumulated 15 fifties during his 11-year IPL career.
