New Zealand Women now lock horns with England Women in the T20I series, starting from 3rd March. England Women were completely dominant in the ODI series and drubbed past New Zealand Women 2-1. All the matches will be played behind closed doors but live coverage would enable fans to witness the game. England have been exceptional in T20 cricket and clean swept West Indies Women, 5-0. With so many high-profile women cricketers playing, the series will be extremely interesting to watch.
New Zealand Women will be vying to take revenge for their 1-2 loss against England Women. Momentum will be on their side as they won the last ODI by 7 wickets. Chasing a modest 221, New Zealand comfortably crossed the finishing line in 46.4 overs. Amy Satterthwaite was in top-class form and scored a brilliant century. Lea Tahuhu suffered an injury in the opening ODI and will be replaced by all-rounder Brooke Halliday.
England Women would want to pocket off the T20I series too by playing some good cricket. Though they are coming on the back off a loss, there would be a lot of positives to draw out from the ODI series. Tammy Beaumont scored an unbeaten 88 off 113 deliveries in the last game. Her innings was laced with 7 fours. Skipper and prolific batter Heather Knight, scored a fluent 60. Amelia Kerr notched up 4 wickets.
