The 2024 Paris Olympics has around 206 countries taking the centre stage in 32 disciplines. French President Emmanuel Macron declared Games open after International Olympic Committee president Thomas Bach delivered a rousing speech.
Sporting action went underway on the first official day of Paris Games 2024, as names like Manu Bhaker, Lakshya Sen among others kick started their Olympics 2024 journey. Day 1 of the games saw Bhaker ending a 20-year-wait in the event as she made her way through to the final of the women's 10m air pistol.
