India and Australia are currently squaring off in a five-match T20I series that started on November 23 as preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to happen in the West Indies and the USA. Although we are seeing a lot of fresh faces in the ongoing series, but during the upcoming T20 World Cup edition we may not see them play once important core players come into the picture.

Jitesh Sharma despite being selected in the ongoing five-match T20I series hasn't got an opportunity to play in the first two T20I games and notably, once Rishabh Pant or KL Rahul also comes back to the set-up then he won't get a chance to feature in the squad as a wicket-keeper batsman.
