On Thursday, June 12, Mumbai South Central Maratha Royals became the winners of the T20 Mumbai 2025 after they defeated SoBo Mumbai Falcons by six wickets in the final of the tournament at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Batting first, Falcons posted a total of 157 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their alloted 20 overs. In reply, Maratha Royals chased the winning target in 19.2 overs.

As the tournament was played in Mumbai, in its entirety, along with the Mumbai Indians (MI) players like Suryakumar Yadav playing and Rohit Sharma attending it, there is a huge chance that the franchise might look to sign some of its players for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 campaign.

3 Star performers in T20 Mumbai 2025 that Mumbai Indians could target

Siddhesh Lad

siddhesh lad

One of the most important and widely noted talents who plied his trade in the T20 Mumbai League, Lad is best described as a tenacious and comfortable middle order batter who can really hold onto his own in the middle.

Thus far in his career, he's represented several teams, including Goa and even played contests for India A, someone like Praveen Amre has mentored and watched Lad develop and grow as a useful contributor with the bat.

Mumbai Indians may want to focus on him after Lad's strong performances in the Mumbai T20 league, and as a matter of fact, would want to rethink their 2015 decision, where then, as a 23-year-old, Siddesh Lad was picked to play in the IPL for the side but didn't really get to represent the team's playing XI.

Probably having an experience of just shy of 5,000 runs also comes in as a handy point on his impressive CV as a batter.

Ishan Mulchandani

ishan mulchandani

He was born in Singapore, where he was raised until the age of 7 and moved to Mumbai, the epicentre of Cricket in India, where a genuine and unbridled love for the game got him back to the country of his origin.

But what makes Ishan's journey more impressive than most would note is the fact that he idolizes someone like Rahul Dravid, who he claims, gave 'so much respect to the game of Cricket' that he became 'my role model.'

Ishan Mulchandani was also the player of the match in the recently concluded final of the widely-noted T20 Mumbai League where his unbeaten 52 off just 34 helped his dominant SoBo Mumbai Falcons overcome NaMo Bandra Blasters' ask of 131.

A gusty technically sound batter, Mulchandani, should, one notes, be on the radar of the great Mumbai Indians. His story is even marvellous in the respect that he was once a fast bowler early on and now is a handy top order batter.

Siddharth Raut

With an impressive tally of 9 wickets that Raut picked playing no more than just 6 games in the Mumbai T20 league, the earnest cricketer who represents the SOBO Mumbai Falcons, made quite an impression with his right-arm fast medium bowling skills.

What was a real standout for the bowler who can mix up pace and bounce handily was his strikingly good economy rate in the T20 Mumbai League.

That being at a little over 6.4 was really impressive and conveyed a strong point for someone like the great Mumbai Indians, who may want to look at Siddharth Raut seriously for the forthcoming IPL editions.
