The phase-2 of IPL 2021 is all set to start on the 19th of September which is just 30 days away from today. Second phase of IPL 2021 has been awaited by many of them as it ended up being a disappointment for the fans when it was halted at start of May earlier this year due to COVID-19 pandemic. The 2nd phase in UAE is expected to bring lot of good games like the 2020 season and also coincidentally on same day as 2020, IPL 2021 is commencing with El Clasico MI vs CSK match.

Teams like Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore have done extremely well so far in the first phase of IPL 2021. Teams like KKR & SRH are sinked at bottom of the table and it would be interesting to see whether teams placed at the bottom can change their fortune and tilt the table to make the second phase of IPL 2021 even more entertaining.

Let us have a look at some of the remarkable incidents from IPL connecting with number 30:

30: Pat Cummins smashed 30 runs off the over bowled by Sam Curran during KKR vs CSK in the first phase of IPL 2021.

This incident happened when KKR was struggling at 146/7 after 15 overs. KKR needed 75 to win from the last 5 overs with just 3 wickets left in hand. During the 16th over Pat Cummins smashed 2,6,6,6,4 & 6 (30 runs off an over) and gave some hope for Kolkata Knight Riders to win the match. However, unfortunately KKR couldn't cross that winning line and lost the game by 18 runs margin.

30: Rahul Tewatia smashed 5 sixes (30 runs) off an over bowled by Sheldon Cottrell during RR vs PBKS at Sharjah venue in IPL 2020.

This incident happened when RR needed 224 runs to win the match. Rahul Tewatia was struggling at the crease with the score of 17*(23), while RR at that stage (after 17 overs) needed 51 to win from the last 3 overs. During 18th over of the match surprisingly Rahul Tewatia smashed Sheldon Cottrell for 5 sixes (6, 6, 6, 6, 0 & 6) and won it for RR. Interestingly it remains to be the highest total chased down in IPL history.

30: Chris Gayle smashed a century in IPL from just 30 balls which remains to be fastest century ever in IPL history.

During RCB vs PWI IPL 2013 match Chris Gayle smashed 175*(66) which ended up being the highest score ever in IPL history.

30: Kagiso Rabada has picked up 30 wickets in IPL 2020 season and he also ended up winning purple cap in that season. Kagiso Rabada's 30 wickets in IPL 2020 remains to be 2nd highest in a single IPL season after Dwayne Bravo's 32 wickets in IPL 2013.
