Punjab Kings (PBKS) spent a heavy amount in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 auction held in Jeddah and added some brilliant bowling names to their squad. Punjab, who are the only side to qualify only two times for playoffs after featuring in all IPL seasons, will want their bowlers to display their mettle in the upcoming season so that they can bag their maiden title. Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis will look to support PBKS’ pace attack. The 35-year-old did a decent job with the ball for Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25. He trapped five batters in 11 matches at an economy of 7.08.

New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson possesses massive international experience and he will be expected to deliver wickets to Punjab in the middle overs. Discussing his IPL numbers, he has grabbed 46 wickets in 45 outings at an economy of 8.96.  

3. Marco Jansen

South Africa speedster Marco Jansen will look to be disciplined with the ball for Punjab. The lanky pacer has looked exceptional recently. In the SA20 League 2024-25, he bagged 19 wickets in 13 matches for Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) and ended up as the leading wicket-taker in the tournament.

Arshdeep Singh got a lucrative contract worth INR 18 crore from PBKS and became the costliest bowler in the IPL 2025 auction. Punjab will want Arshdeep to give tough time to batters and justify his price tag.

India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal became part of Punjab at the amount of INR 18 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. The 34-year-old will be seen spearheading PBKS spin-bowling attack in the upcoming T20 event to be played for the next two months. Chahal is the highest wicket-taker in IPL with 205 wickets in 160 appearances at an economy of 7.84.
