Robin Minz hails from the tribal community of the Shimal village in Gumla district of Jharkhand and became the first-ever indigenous cricketer to feature in the World’s richest T20 league, IPL. In the 2023 auction, 2022 IPL winners Gujarat Titans picked Robin for a record sum of INR 3.6 crore.
