Being vastly talented in the great game of cricket is the frontline, very basic and habitual trait you'd expect from cricketers. Else, without it, what are they even going to do in the sport. Having said that, there are always some cricketers who are remarkably gifted and accomplished in other fields of pursuit and excellence.

So could there be some prominent cricketers who are just as talented in other genres and spheres?

Well, absolutely. Let us find out some captivating names here under:

Brett Lee

Few come as talented as Brett Lee, someone who was an ace with the red and white ball on the cricket field being this brilliant fast bowling tearaway, who was once considered the fastest bowler in the world.

Having said that, the man who captured 718 international wickets, a towering accumulation, also played guitar extensively, something he still does in his post-Australia career.

Brett Lee was the founding member of his band called 'Six and Out'. Though, originally formed in the year 1999 and comprising Australian cricketers from the region of New South Wales, Lee's latter innings post cricket saw him perform various gigs all around Australia.

Moreover, he also has a penchant for acting and even did a couple of movies when based in Mumbai. A performer on the field, and one off it!

Andrew Flintoff

A dominant English cricketing all-rounder and someone who excelled as a frontline bowler and attacking and technically correct middle order batter, Flintoff, nicknamed 'Freddie' was considered the best English all-round cricketer since Sir Ian Botham. And in his latter years, the man with no fewer than 400 wickets for England and 7200 plus runs became a radio presenter and TV host.

But here's the most interesting part, the lanky all-rounder also ventured into boxing. Moreover, Flinttoff made his debut around November 30, 2012 in the city of Manchester where he won four-round heavyweight bout against noted pugilist Richard Dawson.

Darren Gough

darren gough

The former English fast bowler, most notably an aggressive and determined Test bowler with no fewer than 467 international wickets to his name, including 235 in one day games for England took to dancing in his post-England career.

About over a decade back in time, Darren Gough also participated and excelled in an England-based dance competition, widely popular on satellite television channels in those times, titled "Strictly Come Dancing".

He won the third edition of the famed made-for-TV dancing competition where his nimble footwork and rhythm caught the attention and praise of even former teammates such as Freddie Flintoff.

Brian Lara

The Prince of Trinidad, a maestro with the bat and a hugely gifted run maker, the man responsible for the twin records of highest-individual Test score and the first-class score, Lara took to golf post retiring from the West Indies team.

The Trinidadian boasts of a single-digit handicap and has a known experience of playing in several international invitational golf tournaments.

The fetish at smacking the balls, both ways, whether on the cricket turf or the salubrious golf greens hasn't left Lara in isolation. He's either playing tournaments nowadays in the USA or in the Gulf or the Emirates region.

Matt Hayden

matthew hayden

The former great Australian cricketer with no fewer than almost 15,000 international runs and 40 international centuries, struck a highest individual Test score of 380 against Zimbabwe in 2003.

He was, during his time, an aggressive and as seen often times, forthcoming top order batter utterly unafraid to take on any opposition. But away from cricketing duties on the pitch, Hayden, a self-confessed fan of meditation, took to cooking.

He's an excellent chef and even during his time on away tours, he would travel to exotic locations such as India with his bunch of pans, pots and curries.

The belligerent left hander has published two cook books, one of which is titled, "The Matthew Hayden Cookbook". He is known for his specialty in Indian cuisines, a country in which he spends quite some time each year.
