Kartik Tyagi played a pivotal role for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2020 & 2021, but after that he didn't find a substantial growth in tournament despite being part of SRH in 2022 & 2023 edition. He was expected to go for a bigger price in the auction, but he got sold to the Gujarat Titans for a price of just INR 60 Lakh.
Other teams like KKR and LSG fought for even lower price but let go of him when he reached the landmark of INR 60 Lakh bid.
