Indian Head Coach Gautam Gambhir reacted to Virat Kohli’s retirement from Test format. The 36-year-old shared a post on his Instagram on the Morning of May 12 where he announced that he is calling off his career in red-ball cricket. “As I step away from this format, it’s not easy — but it feels right. I’ve given it everything I had, and it’s given me back so much more than I could’ve hoped for,” Kohli wrote on Insta.
After Virat Kohli announced his Test retirement, the cricketing fraternity has been wishing him on a wonderful career in India whites from 2011 to 2025. Recently, Gautam Gambhir also shared a post for Kohli on his X where he wrote “A man with lion’s passion! Will miss u cheeks….”

Several cricketers from the India have also been reacting to Virat Kohli’s retirement from the longest format of the game and also wished him for a the wonderful journey ahead. Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant shared a story on his Instagram where he wrote “The intensity, the passion, the fight - you gave it your all, every single time! All the best for what's ahead, Virat bhai.”
Apart from that, star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah also shared a heartfelt post for Virat Kohli post his Test retirement. "From making my Test debut under your captaincy to reaching new heights together for our country, your passion and energy will be missed but the legacy you leave behind remains unmatched. Congratulations on a remarkable journey in whites Virat Kohli.”
