AB de Villiers has been undoubtedly Royal Challenger Bangalore’s marquee finisher for the past few years. However, his batting order hasn’t been entirely consistent in the RCB batting line-up. Former IPL player Rajat Bhatia feels that the former South African captain should bat where he can contribute the most.

Royal Challenger Bangalore faced Mumbai Indians in the opening match of the IPL 2021. De Villers, who usually bats at no. 3 was sent down the order and he contributed significantly well for the side.

If I was RCB coach, I would ask ABD where he wants to bat: Rajat Bhatia

Talking exclusively to SportsTiger, Rajat opined that ABD plays a very pivotal role in RCB's line-up and he should be utilised well. The former cricketer said that the management should ask the former South African cricketer where the latter should bat.

"AB de Villiers should bat where he thinks he can contribute best for the team.  If I was RCB coach, I would ask ABD where he wants to bat", said Bhatia.

Despite being pushed down the order, ABD stepped up for the side in the opening game against Mumbai Indians and finished the task off. De Villiers managed to hold the innings together and scored 48 runs off just 27 balls.
