Abu Dhabi GP 2022: Mick Schumacher to don replica of Sebastian Vettel's helmet during latter's final F1 race

Vettel, who is regarded as one of the most successful drivers in F1 history, will retire from the sport at the conclusion of the Abu Dhabi 2022.

Four-time champion Sebastian Vettel is all set to bid goodbye as the upcoming Abu Dhabi 2022 will be his final race on the track. Vettel, who is regarded as one of the most successful drivers in F1 history, will retire from the sport at the conclusion of the Abu Dhabi 2022. 

While many prolific F1 drivers have expressed special tribute to the legendary driver, Mick Schumacher has also decided to run a helmet livery that tribute Aston Martin driver's final F1 race. Schumacher is known to be very close to Sebastian Vettel, as his father Michael also shared a special relationship with the four-time World Champion, during his final years in F1. 

Earlier, Alpine Driver Fernando Alonso also revealed his special helmet design for the weekend, featuring the German flag with which Vettel has raced since 2015 and a message reading 'Danke Seb' on either side. While sharing the picture of the same, Vettel shared the picture of his helmet and 

"One last time sharing the track with you, it will be emotional and sad at the same time, but I wish you had all the great luck for your next chapter," captioned the post.

Even, Mercedes driver George Russell too shared a hilarious post via his official Twitter handle as he swapped helmets with Sebastian Vettel ahead of Abu Dhabi GP 2022. "Seb, you have a small head. A pleasure to swap helmets with you, mate: you are a legend. I hope you enjoy your last F1 race!" wrote George. 

The Brazilian GP champion also shared a picture of the helmet featuring a special message from Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel. "To George, it’s been great to see you coming up. Many big moments ahead. Stay on track and enjoy," wrote Sebastian Vettel.
