Rohit Sharma had another forgettable outing in the T20 World Cup 2022 against England. The Men in Blue skipper who has scored only one half-century in the ongoing tournament, smashed all around the park before falling to the England seamer.
Rohit, who scored his only half-century against Netherlands, scored only 27 runs off 28 deliveries. But on the fifth ball of the eighth over, Rohit went for a full power shot off Chris Jordan’s delivery but Sam Curran who was positioned at wide long-on grabbed the catch without much hesitation.
With his inning ending again in the 20s, it got him under a lot of criticism. Fans wasted no time to express themselves over social media. While some commented on his fitness level, a few others said the Indian opener should retire now.
