Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is definitely the center of attraction this Indian Premier League season and the sea of yellow that every stadium across the nation is witnessing is a solid testament to it. Whether it will be Dhoni’s last season or not is what keeps each fan guessing. However, Dhoni’s former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina opened up on what Dhoni said to him on the subject of his retirement.

Considering his age and knee issues, many fans are expecting Dhoni to take a call on his career, and he might pass on the captaincy baton to someone else in the squad. However, the CSK skipper has different plans as he would be playing another IPL season as revealed by Suresh Raina.

Speaking on a broadcasting platform, Suresh Raina told what the former India captain said to him speaking on his retirement. Raina revealed that the veteran wicketkeeper will play one more year after winning the trophy and isn’t retiring anytime soon. Dhoni told Raina, "Main trophy jeetke ek saal aur khelunga (After winning the trophy, I will play for one more year)." While the hopes of CSK qualifying for the playoffs are hanging by a thread, the coming weeks will prove if they take their 5th trophy home or not.

Earlier this season, when Danny Morrison asked Dhoni if he is enjoying his last IPL or not, he left everyone guessing by saying that he hasn’t decided yet if it is his last season.  "This wonderful swansong tour, your last, how are you enjoying it?,” Swanson asked Dhoni, to which he cheekily replied, "Well, you have decided it's my last." "You hear that, he is going to come back again next year," Morrison then said, gesturing towards the Lucknow crowd.

Speaking of Chennai Super Kings, the Yellow army has won six matches and sits on the second spot of the table. The four-time IPL winners won their last match against the record-time IPL winners, in the second El Clasico of this season, at home on May 6, Saturday. They will now lock horns with Delhi Capitals on May 10 at the Chepauk.
