The defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are up against each other in Match 7 of Indian Premier League 2022. Both the teams are itching to get off the mark in the 2022 edition after a loss in their respective opening fixture of the tournament.

The Chennai Super Kings have got a great start with the half-century from Robin Uthappa and quickfire innings from the all-rounder Moeen Ali. Uthappa was positive in the entire innings with his approach and looked in sublime touch after being promoted up the order. He was dismissed after a well-made 50 off 27 balls. While Moeen Ali was bowled in a failed dismissal to slog Avesh Khan.

After these wickets arrived the experienced and trusted batter of the CSK team, Ambati Rayudu. After playing out two dot balls, he got off the mark with an upper cut off the fast bowler Avesh Khan that went for a boundary.

In the last fixture, Rayudu was dismissed for 15 off 17 balls, and could not get going against the quality attack of KKR. In this game, he would surely look to convert a good start into a big one, thereby getting confidence for the remainder of the tournament. Alongside him, is the batting all-rounder Shivam Dube who was sent in at no.4 in this fixture. Until the end of 15 overs, Dube has been striking at around 150 and will be key to CSK in the final 5 as well.

The next batsmen to bat for the CSK team will be MS Dhoni and Captain Ravindra Jadeja. Both the experienced players were instrumental in taking the team to a respectable total in the tournament opener as well and would look to continue the same form. While, the LSG bowlers have been ordinary, barring Ravi Bishnoi, and will need a lot of effort to put brakes on the momentum of the 4-time IPL winning team.
