Veteran Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra missed out on getting an Indian Premier League (IPL) contract after he went unsold at the auctions earlier this year. However, despite being out of action from the T20 competition, the ex-Delhi Capitals bowler has been in the news for his social media presence.

While he had earlier said that he is still a couple of years young to play for Chennai Super Kings, poking fun at the franchise's tag of "Dad's Army", he has now taken a dig at the Royal Challengers Bangalore. During RCB's match against CSK on Tuesday, a fan was seen carrying the poster "Not getting married till RCB wins IPL trophy."

Notably, RCB has not won an IPL trophy to date and Mishra, based on the past experience, shared the picture of the fan with the poster and wrote: "Really worried about her parents right now.. #CSKvsRCB."

Here is his tweet:

As it turned out, Chennai managed to beat Bangalore by 23 runs to taste their first win of the season. It was Robin Uthappa (88 off 50) and Shivam Dube (95* off 46) who paved the way for CSK's strong score of 216/4 before Maheesh Theekshana's 4/33 derailed RCB's run-chase.

Despite the defeat, Bangalore are in the top half of the points table and have a good chance of making it to the Playoffs, although more than half of the league stage is still remaining. This is a new era in RCB with Virat Kohli playing only as a batter and Faf du Plessis taking over the leadership responsibilities.

Faf would hope to inspire the troops to their first IPL win, something which evaded the leadership of Kohli.

RCB's next match is scheduled against Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 16.
