The Andhra Premier League (APL) 2025, the fourth edition of the highly anticipated franchise T20 tournament will be played from August 8 to 23, wherein the top cricketers from Andhra Pradesh will share the stage with the local talents. Over the two weeks or so, the seven teams in the APL will compete for the coveted title, starting with the 21 league stage matches, which will be followed by the knockout stage matches, including the final.
Each of the seven teams in the APL 2025, including Kakinada Kings, Capital Amaravathi Royals, Vijayawada Sun Shiners, Royals of Rayalaseema, Tungabhadra Warriors, Simhadri Vizag Lions, and Bhimavaram Bulls, will be playing each other once in the league stage, to earn the right to make it through to the knockout stage. The APL 2025 playoffs will have Eliminator, Qualifier 1, Qualifier 2, and the final, to crown the new franchise T20 champion of the Andhra Pradesh state.
Only one venue has been shortlisted to host the APL 2025 season, and it’s none other than the highly recognised ACA VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, where all the matches of the tournament will be held.
