Rohit Sharma-led India are all set to take on Australia in the third Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2023 from Wednesday (1 March). The hosts are already leading the four-match series 2-0 and will be not worried too much even though they need to win the third Test to cement their place in the World Test Championship Final. Almost every member of the squad has reached the venue city.
India’s batting stalwart Virat Kohli has also arrived in Indore and has also started his preparations ahead of the third Test. Meanwhile, Kohli has also got a special guest with him, Anushka Sharma. The cricketer’s wife has also reached Indore to cheer her husband during the game. The Bollywood actress shared a selfie from the hotel gym and wrote a special caption too. “Prep before Poha Jalebi,” wrote Sharma in her Instagram story.

Coming back to Virat Kohli, the 34-year-old is searching for a big score in the longest format of the game. Ever since his comeback from the long due break, Kohli has not been able to hit the right chord in the longest format of the game. Although he looked in good rhythm in the first innings of the second Test, Kohli failed to convert his start into a big score. Now, with a similar sort of pitch expected in Indore as well, the batter will look to make it count.
According to reports, Kohli once again underwent an extra half an hour of practice ahead of the third Test. The report also claimed that India captain Rohit Sharma and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin were absent from the team’s practice session. Notably, the third Test of BGT 2022-23 was shifted to Indore from Dharamshala.
