Former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma engaged in a hilarious banter with LSG spinner Amit Mishra after their clash against IPL 2024. Sharma celebrated his 37th birthday on Tuesday, April 30, when his side encountered the Lucknow-based franchise, and faced a four-wicket defeat. After the match, the 37-year-old was seen engaging in hilarious banter with Mishra and was seemingly left in disbelief knowing the age difference between them.
In the video posted by the LSG on social media, the Indian captain could be heard asking Mishra, “You are only three years older than me?” The 40-year-old revealed his age, to which Sharma replied in his trademark fashion, “We were in nappies when you made your debut.” The hilarious conversation between them went viral in no time, where fans not only appreciated the bond between Mishra and Sharma but also highlighted Rohit’s typical fashion of talking.
He said thoda dukh raha hai: KL Rahul on Mayank Yadav’s injury
Coming back to the match, LSG skipper KL Rahul opened up on Mayank Yadav’s injury. Yadav, who returned to the squad after missing a few games due to a strain, was forced to retire after bowling just 1.4 overs. Rahul spoke about the injury and said, "I haven't spoken to Mayank much. He had some pain in his sides. He said thoda dukh raha hai. So, I asked him to go out. He is useful for us. We need to take care of him.
He added, “He bowled wide yorkers and slower bumpers today which was good to see. We are giving him a free hand.”
