Ansu Fati is all set to go through a loan deal to AS Monaco who have finished in the Top 4 this season in the Ligue 1. The French team look ready to obtain the Spanish forward on a loan deal with a potential buy clause in the 2025-26 season.As per the report by Fabrizio Romano AS Monaco are planning for Fati's medical this week.
Fati has struggled to find game time in the Hansi Flick era due to his series of injuries that occurred during the previous seasons. This had really affected his fitness and he wasn't able to prove himself to start the games for the La Liga champions this season.
Ansu Fati to find more minutes playing for AS Monaco
Deco, who is Sporting Director at FC Barcelona revealed that this move was initiated to “improve the game time for Ansu Fati as he is lacking the required minutes at FC Barcelona” as per Barca Blaugranes. This move would be efficient for both parties as Barcelona need to reduce the wage bills and for Ansu Fati to get regular game time as he is not included in the plans of Hansi Flick for Barcelona next season as he only made 11 appearances in all competitions last Season.
AS Monaco, who finished 3rd on the table last season are looking to add more firepower to the team as they are also targeting the French Midfielder Paul Pogba on a free transfer in order to strengthen their team for the Champions League next Season. The addition of Ansu Fati to the team would really help the French team to dethrone the current ligue 1 Champions PSG.
The French team looks all set to conduct the medical of the player this week as the final details in the deal are yet to be disclosed for the deal to get over the line.
