India sailed through the fourth day of the ongoing 19th edition of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. While there were several surprise gold medal wins, India’s Esha Singh and Anantjeet Singh Naruka claimed the silver in 25m women’s pistol and men’s skeet respectively.

The 18-year-old who qualified for the individual final in fifth place with a score of 586, finished with a total of 34 to claim the silver. While China’s Liu Rui bagged the gold with an Asian Games record of 38, Yang Jiin of Korea claimed the bronze with a total of 29.

On the other hand, Anantjeet Singh Naruka claimed the silver, etching history by claiming India’s first silver in the men’s skeet category.

Earlier, the India’s men’s trio of Angad Vir Singh Bajwa, Gurjot Khangura and Anantjeet secured the bronze in skeet team event. The trio achieved the score of 355 to earn the third place on the podium. Earlier on Wednesday, the Indian women’s trio of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh and Rhythm Sangwan combined to finish on top to clinch a gold.
