Cricket Australia on Tuesday, November 28 named six changes in the squad for the ongoing T20I series against India. The Matthew Wade-led side, who are currently in India for five-match T20I series, announced the departure of six World Cup winning stars ahead of the third T20I. Notably, the World Cup winning team will take on the Suryakumar Yadav-led side at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on November 28.
Talking about the changes in the T20I squad, the six World Cup winners will miss the three matches, starting today. Aussie batter Steve Smith and star bowler for the team from down under at the World Cup, Adam Zampa have already flown home, while Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Inglis and Sean Abbott will leave on Tuesday.
Chris Green in line for international debut in fourth T20I
Wicketkeeper-batter Josh Phillippe and Ben McDermott have already joined the side ahead of the third T20I in Guwahati, while Ben Dwarshuis and spinner Chris Green will join the side ahead of the fourth match in Raipur. After the departure of six World Cup winning players, Travis Head is the sole player to remain in India, along with travelling reserve Tanvir Sangha.
