In a surprising turn of events, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has got engaged to his parental cousin. The news came one day after former captain Azhar Ali advised the skipper to get married during a Q&A session on Twitter. Currently, the Karachi Kings batsman is in UAE gearing up for the second leg of Pakistan Super League 2021. It has also been revealed that Babar got engaged before quarantining himself for the tournament.

According to reports, all the teammates were aware of Babar’s engagement. The No.1 ICC batsman in ODIs, despite staying in the limelight, somehow managed to keep the details of his engagement private.

Known for his discipline and level-headed attitude, the right-handed batsman recently shared a video of himself working out at the hotel during quarantine. Babar can be seen doing multiple fitness drills to keep himself well prepared for the remaining matches of PSL. “Training must go on”, Babar captioned sharing his workout regime.

The highest run-scorer in PSL (1774), Babar will be eyeing to defend the title for Karachi Kings under the leadership of Imad Wasim in the UAE.
