Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Monday, August 4 announced their 25-member preliminary squad for the upcoming Men’s Asia Cup 2025, set to be played from September 9 onwards in the UAE. The continental tournament, which will be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the hosting rights reserved with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), it will be played from September 9 till 28.

Over a month ahead of the marquee tournament, the BCB announced their preliminary squad, which will see them go through a fitness camp at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur from August 6, followed by a skill training camp from August 15.

Bangladesh to play Netherlands in three-match T20I series in Sylhet ahead of Asia Cup

While the camp is set to be shifted to Sylhet from August 20 from Mirpur, Bangladesh will also play the Netherlands in a three-match T20I series, marking their first bilateral T20I series in Bangladesh. However, the official itinerary of the series is yet to be confirmed by the BCB, but is is likely to be played between August 26 and September 4 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Speaking of Bangladesh’s Asia Cup 2025 campaign, the Bangla Tigers are placed in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong. The team from Bangladesh will begin their group stage on September 11 in Abu Dhabi with a match against Hong Kong. They will next lock horns with Sri Lanka (September 13), and Afghanistan (September 16) in Abu Dhabi, followed by the Super Four stage, if they advance further in the tournament.
