The governing council of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Sunday revealed the names of the seven franchises for the next three seasons of the tournament. While Beximco Limited and Gemcon Group, which featured in the first cycle of the BPL, refused to be part of the tournament, former champions Basundhara Group's Rangpu is back in the T20 event.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board have also announced the dates of BPL for the coming three years. The 2023 edition of the tournament will be held from January 5 to February 16. Meanwhile, BPL 2024 will run from January 6 to February 17. BPL 2025 is scheduled for January 1 to February 11.

"After detailed evaluation and assessment of the EOI documents submitted by prospective owners, the BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) T20 Governing Council has invited the following parties to complete the process of securing Franchise Ownership Rights for the next three (9th, 10th & 11th) editions of the tournament," BPL governing council said in a statement.

According to reports, the player draft will be held in the first week of October, while the selected business houses have been asked to deposit BDT 10 Crores to get the franchise rights for the first year of the tournament.
