Baseball dugout turns into crime scene in New York tragedy; state police issues statement

During the autopsy, it was revealed that the person wasn’t involved in any sort of criminal activity.

In a chilly incident in the peaceful town of Saratoga Springs in New York State, a baseball dugout at the city’s West Side Recreation Park turned into a crime scene on June 15. A resident of Saratoga Springs found someone, presumably dead, lying in the dugout. Upon calling other residents, local authorities and investigators, it was confirmed that the person was indeed not alive. 

As the nature of the case got in front of everyone by the Saratoga Springs PD, NY Police Dept, it was revealed that no crime activity had taken place. The police department took to Twitter to release a statement regarding the same and said, at approximately 7am we received a report requesting a welfare check of a person located in the baseball dugout of the West Side Rec. Officers responded and located a deceased person in the dugout that appeared to have been there for several hours.” 

The police did not identify the man, pending notification of the family. However, he was sent to the hospital for an autopsy. It was during that time it was revealed that the person wasn’t involved in any sort of criminal activity. Therefore, the police assured the locals that there isn’t any threat to the public. The officials said, “There is no threat to the community and the park is open for regular use.”

However, the reason of the death couldn’t be revealed at the moment, leaving the locals cautious.
