One of the most well-liked mobile games in India is Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), and Krafton has partnered with one of the country's most well-liked live streaming platforms in an effort to expand its audience. Krafton recently announced a partnership with Jio Cinema to live stream the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023. This action will improve the gaming industry in India and aid BGMI in expanding throughout the whole nation.

Jio Cinema and Krafton have formally joined forces to broadcast the BGIS 2023 event. From BGIS 2023's first round, fans will be able to watch the tournament on JioCinema. The Grind and Round 1 of BGIS will be broadcast beginning from August 31. The BGIS 2023 Grand Finals, which run from October 12 through 14, will also be broadcast live for fans. According to the timetable, the matches will be streamed daily from 1:00 to 6:00 pm.

The CEO of Krafton India, Sean Hyunil Sohn, announced the collaboration, and said, “We are thrilled to collaborate with JioCinema to bring the BGIS 2023 to our passionate fans in a way that has never been done before. JioCinema is a pioneer in bringing enthralling content to its viewers, and we are confident that it is the perfect platform for BGIS to deliver an unforgettable tournament, elevating the Esports experience for millions of viewers. With this partnership, we hope to transform the consumption of Esports in the country and inspire the next generation of Esports champions.”

Over 2000 teams are said to compete in this tournament for a whopping INR 2 Crore in prize money, with INR 75 Lakh going to the winner. Last year, Skylights Gaming clinched the title, winning INR 50 Lakh from a huge prize pool of INR 1 Crore. The Grand Finals of BGIS 2023 will be held as a LAN event for the first time ever. 

BGIS 2023 with this brand-new partnership is said to provide fans with a localised experience, with live streaming planned in 10 languages, including Hindi and English, and 8 more regional languages, according to a recent announcement from Krafton.
