The third day of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Master Series (BGMS) grand finals finished on Thursday with Team SouL emerging as the top-placed squad in the overall standings. SouL climbed to the top by claiming their first 'Winner Winner Chicken Dinner' in the finals.
After the action-packed three weeks, the 16 finalists have been competing for the first televised e-sports tournament in India for a handsome amount of ₹75 lakh. Team SouL is currently leading the points table with 73 kills and 139 points followed by Team GODLike with 131 points.
BGMS Finals Day 3: Match Summary
Match 1:
In the opening match of Day 3, Team SouL fought their way to claim the chicken dinner in the Erangel map by defeating the Blind Esports in the end. SouL Akshat was named the MVP of the match as his team secured the first place with a total of 26 points and 11 kills.
Blind Esports came second with 22 points and 10 finishes followed by Team GODLike, who made 14 kills to get the third spot.
Match 2:
The second match, which was played at the Sanhok map, saw Team Insane Esports claiming the WWCD and the top spot with a total of 11 kills and 26 points. TIE defeated Enigma Gaming as Insane MAC was the MVP of the match.
Team SouL made 10 finishes and claimed the second spot in the match 3 rankings, followed by Enigma Gaming and Chemin Esports at the third and the fourth place.
Match 3:
The match 3 was played in the Miramar map with the final moving circle featured full squad of 8Bit, two members of Enigma Gaming, and Joker of Global Esports. Team 8Bit secured the chicken dinner and the first place.
Enigma Gaming stood second with 17 points and 5 kills followed by Skylightz Gaming on the third with 7 kills and 15 points as Gamlaboyyyy of Skylightz Gaming was the MVP of the match. Team Global Esports finished third in the match but their 4 kills took them to the 4th place in the match 3 standings.
Match 4:
After winning the first game, Team SouL failed to make a mark in the other three games and their dismal run continued in the final game of Day 3 in the Erangel map. WizzGod of Orangutan was the MVP of the match and helped his team to earn the chicken dinner.
Team 8Bit came second with 7 finishes and 19 points. Team GODLike and Enigma Gaming secure the third and the fourth place respectively.
Overall Standings:
After the end of the Day 3, Team SouL have claimed the top spot with 139 points while Team GODLike have maintained their second spot with 131 points. Team Orangutan have won the most chicken dinners by winning three after 12 matches. Orangutan are currently on the fourth place with 124 points.
The first-placed team till Day 2, Global Esports have been dropped to the third place in the overall standings after failing to win a single chicken dinner on Day 3. Team GE is just one-point away from the second-placed Team GODLike.
Wizzgod from Team Orangutan (10) has claimed the most number of kills on day 3 while 8Bit Ultron has the highest average survival time of 23:48 minutes.
