The highly anticipated BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3 is set to kick off on July 19 and feature 24 teams. The organizer, Nodwin Gaming, has reintroduced two rules from the previous edition, "Powerplay" and "Bounty System" in its Season 3. These rules offer teams a great opportunity to earn multiple points in one match.
What is Powerplay and Bounty System in BGMS Season 3?
Powerplay
BGMS Season 3 Powerplay is exactly like the powerplay of cricket, where teams have a chance to earn maximum points in the initial phase of a match by playing aggressively. The powerplay is active during the first zone of the match, where players will get two points for each finish during the powerplay. For example, if a team wipes out another team before the first zone closes, they will get eight points instantly.
Bounty System
The Bounty System is active during League Week, which will be played from July 22 to August 4. Based on the overall standings of the League Week 1st match, the top four teams will carry a bounty. The bounty teams will change after each subsequent match.
For example, if a team eliminates all four players from the bounty team, they earn 10 bounty points. Moreover, to earn the bounty points, the teams need to finish all four players in the bounty squad and if any one player remains, they will not get the bounty points.
