The Board for Control of Cricket in India announced the Indian squad for the first two Test matches against England. As the squad went live, fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who has been dealing with injury, wasn't picked. But the bigger omission was when wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan wasn't picked.

The Mumbai Indians star has been part of the Indian team over the last two years. Then in the recent Test series against South Africa, Kishan opted to take a break and was replaced by KS Bharat. But since that tour, Kishan has been making headlines with reports about the Jharkhand native being punished for disciplinary reasons as he wasn't picked for the T20I series against Afghanistan.

However, head coach Rahul Dravid shut down the claims while making a double-edged comment on Ishan Kishan. Dravid stated that the MI batter can back to the team by playing domestic cricket. Now with Kishan being dropped for the England series, fans on social media are divided with some expressing that the youngster deserved a spot while others calling out the southpaw for taking too many breaks ahead of important tours.
