Ahead of Brighton’s UEFA Europa League clash against Roma, several visiting fans experienced crimes which included the stabbing and robbing of two Britishers outside a local restaurant in the Italian city. According to the Italian media reports, two persons aged 27-year-old and a 28-year-old were assaulted by a group of criminals who fled away from the scene immediately.

According to the local police, a group of six to seven individuals were involved in the case and they even took the wallets of the victims along with them. Initially, waiters from the restaurant witnessed the crime and raised the alarm before police arrived at the crime scene.

Following the incident, the British club Brighton warned its supporters and alarmed them of the crimes among British fans and individuals. They asked their fans to be alert about, "Street crime, including pick pocketing", adding to it they asked fans to, "Be vigilant, take precautions, and take out valid travel insurance. Avoid going around the city showing flags and colors of the club."

Brighton to face Roma in UEL on Thursday

On Thursday night, Roma are set to host Brighton in the Europa League Game at Stadio Olimpico, Rome. The hosts are coming after a 1-4 defeat to the hands of Monza in the Serie A game.

Brighton on the other hand are coming after two consecutive defeats against Fulham by 3-0 in the Premier League game and  Wolverhampton Wanderers by 1-0 in the FA Cup respectively.
