Bruno Fernandes, the Manchester United captain, is reportedly giving a serious consideration to leaving the Red Devils in the upcoming summer transfer window. The 30-year-old has a lucrative offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal to join them next summer, and despite the recent turn of events, the Manchester United hierarchy are understood to be relaxed about the situation.
As per the report published in BBC Sport, the representatives of Bruno Fernandes have held a meeting with the Al-Hilal officials recently about discussing the option to join the club ahead of the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025. While the situation is currently taking up quite a lot of attention on Manchester United’s current Asia tour, nothing has materialised in regards to the deal, as of this writing.

At the same time, it is important to remember that Bruno Fernandes hasn’t made any guarantees to Manchester United about staying at the club at the start of next season despite being the captain of the first-team. While some think of it as an indication from the Portuguese looking to leave Manchester United in the summer, the world of transfer window is known to pivot quite quickly at times, just like how he plays for the club in the pivot at times.
In one of his interviews during the ongoing Manchester United tour of Asia, manager Ruben Amorim appreciated the presence of Bruno Fernandes in the team, and said, “You can see by his performances. You can see by his leadership. You can see the passion he has for the game. In difficult moments, Bruno is the guy who takes responsibility. He should do because he is the captain.”
