Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim looked confident while discussing his team’s captain, Bruno Fernandes was offered a lucrative deal from Saudi Arabia’s club Al Hilal. As per reports, Al Hilal came up with a three-year contract proposal for United skipper Bruno. According to The Daily Mail, the Saudi Pro League team are ready to splurge £65 million ($86.5m) per year to sign up the Portuguese. However, amidst this proposal, ESPN has asserted that the 30-year-old is satiated with his ongoing stint in United and has no plans of parting ways with Old Trafford. Amorim has also stated that the English club won’t permit the 30 year-old to leave.

In the latest development, Amorim spoke to the media and talked about his compatriot Bruno and said, "Not only Saudi Arabia, but many clubs want to sign Bruno Fernandes and are ready to go to extraordinary lengths but Bruno is not for sale. He will be our player for many years to come." Bruno has looked in fine form in this season as he has notched up 19 goals and 9 assists in 53 games.

United to face Tottenham in the Europa Cup final on May 21

Manchester United will look to win the Europa Cup Championship after eight years. Back in 2017, the Red Devils won their last title under Wayne Rooney’s captaincy. On May 21, United will take on Tottenham at San Mames. Both teams last played against each other on February 16 in the Premier League 2024-25, with Tottenham emerging victorious by 1-0.

Tottenham, the first Europa League title winners, haven’t won the European tournament since 1984. This time, they will look to showcase their ferocious side against United on the big day and extinguish their trophy drought which has been going on for the last 31 years.
