India are hopeful to host the Olympic Games in 2036 and the Indian government along with the Indian Olympic Associations have been working to make the plan successful and win the bid for mega event. Before that, India also made a bid to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030. Speaking on the same, CEO of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), Katie Sadleir said that hosting the Commonwealth Games in 2030 is going to be a right step for India on their mission to host the Olympic Games in 2036.
"Hosting the Olympics would be an incredible achievement, and having the 2030 Commonwealth Games in India would be the right step towards that goal,” Sadlier said during the Business Summit in New Delhi on Sunday, as quoted in Sportstar.

India have started preparations to win the bid for hosting the Olympics Games in the year 2036. Speaking further, Katie Sadlier also said that India are on their way to become one of the top 10 countries in the Olympics. Sadlier also praised India’s growing sports infrastructure in the last few years.
“India’s work is transformational. With the right leadership, infrastructure, and passion, India is on track to becoming one of the top 10 countries in the Olympics,” Sadlier said. “Sports are hugely significant in creating the image of a country. Being recognised as a sporting powerhouse enhances a nation’s influence on the global stage,” she continued.
India have already sent a formal letter of intent to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for hosting the Olympic Games in 2036. However, the host will not be decided before the next year.
