Pakistan is touring England ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup which kicks off on June 2 in the USA and West Indies. In the four-match T20I series, the Three Lions are 1-0 up after the first match was washed out on the back of a dominant all-round performance.
Shadab Khan emerged as a major concern for Pakistan as he conceded 55 runs in his four overs and then struggled with the bat by scoring three runs in four balls. Similarly, Khan hasn't been in the best form in international cricket as he went for 50+ runs in his only appearance in a three-game series against Ireland.

Former Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja criticised Shadab Khan's form in a video on his YouTube channel. He also called out Azam Khan for his struggles against pace bowling. Raja said, "I need to understand Shadab Khan's role with the bat. When he comes to bat, he starts hitting like a slogger at number 5. At that time, you needed to build a partnership and take the game deep with wickets in hands."
"Azam Khan's batting against pace is problematic. With the team, as big teams will analyse him, they will use short balls against him, and they will make him come out of his comfort zone. His strike rate against spin is very good but not against pace," Ramiz added.
