AC Milan winger Chrisitan Pulisic is set to sign a new contract with AC Milan for the next four years, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. The American winger helped inspire a come-back win against Como in Milan’s latest Serie A match on Saturday, March 15. Como, who took the lead in the 33rd minute with Lucas Da Cunha’s goal, were brought to level terms by Pulisic’s equalizer in the 53rd minute. They ended up winning the match 2-1 after Reijnders scored a 75th minute winner for the Red and Blacks. Pulisic himself confirmed the contract extension with AC Milan by saying, “I want to continue at Milan” on Saturday.
This is the second time in two consecutive match-days that the winger has helped his team comeback from a deficit and get the win. In the last league game against Leece, Pulisic scored a second-half brace to win the game for his club after being 2-0 down.
Pulisic has already matched his previous season goal-tally
With his equalizing goal on Saturday, Pulisic took his total goal tally of this season so far to 15 goals, equalising his stats from the previous season. The American winger moved to Italy in the summer of 2023 and finished his first season by scoring 15 goals and providing 11 assists. In the 38 games that he has played this season for the club across all competitions, he has already racked up 15 goals and 9 assists, and will hope to finish at an even better tally at the end of the season.
However, his current contract with AC Milan runs till June 2027, the club will look to tie down this important player with a longer and better contract, making him an integral part of the club’s future. Milan are currently seventh in what is a highly competitive Serie A season and will hope to finish in a spot that will allow them to qualify for the European competitions for the next season.
