Following the claims of a possible rematch against Conor McGregor by former Boxing World Champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., the Irish fighter has recently reacted by rejecting the boxer's offer.

Mayweather is scheduled to face Mikuru Asakura in an exhibition bout on September 24 in Japan.

Earlier, Mayweather told Sportsmail, "I want to go out there this weekend and have fun (against Mikuru Asakura). Then I have another exhibition Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023. We don't know if it's going to be an exhibition or a real fight.  But there's been talks of both. I would prefer an exhibition."

Now, the 34-year-old Irish took to his official Instagram handle and posted a picture from his boxing match against Mayweather in 2017. He captioned, "✌️ #notinterested ".

During their boxing bout in 2017, both the fighters generated around $600 million where the undefeated boxer beat McGregor  by 10th-round TKO. Reportedly, Mayweather earned $280 million while the Notorious garnered $130 million despite losing the bout.

After his fight against 'Money', Conor McGregor suffered three defeats in four fights and ended up breaking his ankle against Dustin Poirier in UFC 264 on July 11 last year.
