In a recent viral moment from the world of social media and football, FIFA president Gianni Infantino made a surprise appearance on the livestream of famous Youtuber IShowSpeed as a promotional gimmick for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. During the stream, Gianni interacted with Speed over multiple topics and also unveiled the official Club World Cup trophy. One of the moments that has really caught the attention of football fans is Gianni Infantino’s mention of Cristiano Ronaldo with reference to the Club World Cup.

The Portuguese star currently plays for Al-Nassr, who are not part of the teams participating in the Club World Cup. However, Infantino hinted that Ronaldo might actually join another club soon with hopes of participating in this upcoming tournament. He said, “Ronaldo might play for one of the teams as well…Cristiano Ronaldo might play the Club World Cup, there are discussions (ongoing) with some clubs.” Infantino’s statements added fuel to recent rumours about Ronaldo leaving Al-Nassr after being unhappy with the club’s recent performances.

There have been reports that another Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal might get Ronaldo on board, which seems to align with Infantino’s statements of Ronaldo possibly playing in the Club World Cup as the club is set to take part in this tournament. If that is the case, Ronaldo could possibly end up facing his former team Real Madrid as Al-Hilal are drawn in the same group as them.
