The new season of the CSA T20 Challenge has kicked off with the match between Western Province and Rocks on 7 February. The premier T20 competition replaced the interim South African T20 League (Mzansi Super League). The tournament is being played in a managed event environment (MEE) rather than a bio-secure environment. A total of eight teams take part in this competition. Western Province (WPR), Warriors (WAR), Dolphins (DOL), Knights (KNG), Lions, Northwest (NWEST), Titans (TIT), and Rocks are the eight teams. Imperial Lions are the defending champions of the CSA T20 Challenge.
